THE BAD: What AR accessory do you really dislike or is just flat out useless?

I guess we need this companion piece to the thread on what accessory you like. Enough "dislike" posts crept into the other thread that it seems logical to open a platform for those posts.

What's the one AR accessory that just didn't work for you, or in your opinion is poorly designed, or was ill-conceived, or you just plain wish you hadn't spent money on?

Right off the top of my head, the only thing that instantly comes to mind is the Rogers stock, or the MagPul MOE stock. To me they don't add enough extra to justify the price of one of them versus a standard milspec carbine stock.

I also found the eye relief on any ACOG except the TA33 was just too short for me. We're talking nose to charging handle for any kind of sight picture. (I do like the TA33 ACOG, though. It's my favorite optic. See the other thread ).

BAD levers are not a positive for all, but they can suit some well, even though they are a minority.
I would not include them as a net negative to the system in the same way some other offerings are. There is a lot of "crap" parts out there.

While I don't normally buy into it, the bolts do seem to be easier to clean.

BAD levers are stupid. Most rail systems are pointless and unnecessary for the users.

But what I really find useless is low-quality optics.

I've found BAD levers useful for 3-gun. They certainly aren't necessary, but they are convenient for locking the bolt back quickly without changing your grip. I guess I have gotten use to using them, but what are the real downsides?
