Colt LE6920 with Mexican Defense markings on Gunbroker?

I live in Georgia and just bought a carry handle model off GunBroker. I was charged tax. I'm thinking the company selling them is affiliated with GunBroker.

The site on GB charges tax if you live in GA, NC or PA...none others are being charged the state tax.

If you do some research you will see they are in Lancaster, PA.

I think its because I am in PA. They must have a location here. Its kind of ironic how this company and the one listed on GB both have facilities in PA...wierd...lol

Who knows. The Gunbroker price is higher to cover the cost of fees, etc..

The only thing throwing me off is the pricing...689.00 on gundeals vs 749.00 on GB. Doesn't make sense. Why would you short change yourself, unless they were not selling well and you want to $$ cost average your sales...

I will engrave "Plasma rifle in the 40 watt range" If I think I can find someone to pay more for it when it is time to sell.

I don't get what people are missing.
This engraved one is CHEAPER than normal. People are paying between $750-1300 for "unengraved normal" LE6920 rifles without carry handle.
This is the cheapest LE6920 around, if you don't care whats on it, more power to you.

My understanding is they were never exported. It was an order that Mexico canceled with Colt after Colt already made them, or maybe Colt made more than needed. They aren't really special, just different and cheap.

Like most states, all online sales are subject to tax. It's just that GA can't compel out of state companies to collect the tax for them.

I rarely pay online sales tax...in some cases its hard to avoid. For the most part, I buy my ammo from those that do not charge it.

Maybe where you live, but in Arizona taxes are not collected for online out of state sales.
