PMAGŪ GEN M3, 300 BLK PMAGS

Just bought my first 300 blk, BCM 9", and I was looking for a mag that would stand out a little so there is less chance to get confused with the 5.56 mags.

I see Magpul has their new PMAGŪ GEN M3 coming out this summer made just for 300 BLK and was wondering if anyone thought this would be enough or if there is a more preferred technique?

I was going to just use a silver marker and clearly label a normal gen II Pmag with the 300 BLK markings.

Whats is everyone using for their 300 blk, marker, tape, rubber bands, different colored mag, nothing?

I used a silver Sharpie to write 300 on mine. They also have either SUB or SUPR on them according to what ammo they're loaded with.

I use FDE mags exclusively, or FDE pulls on USGI mags. Keeps things easy.

The pmag .300 blk will be identical to 5.56 mags except for markings, yes?

    • Dedicated, purpose-designed magazine for rifles chambered in 300 Blackout
    • Optimized internal geometry accommodates the wide variety of bullet profiles used in 300 Blackout cartridges
    • Distinct rib design provides the shooter a visual & tactile difference from any other pmag to mitigate dangerous cross-loading

I'm using a silver sharpie also. However, I'm only hunting with my 300blk and I have to use 10 round mags for that purpose. That makes it a bit easier. In the future if I change it's purpose may get the dedicated PMAG's. Even then I'll mark them somehow.

I'm waiting for the 300 BLK pmags too. I'm planning to mark them with bands, along with my dedicated 10 and 20 rd mags.

Lancer mags work well with 300 BLK.
