Nice!
Very nice!!! What color did you use?
Love the design. Can you post up your parts list, I would like to know what you used.
Looks good Harlan.
If you haven't seen the pics of my 3gun rifle I rebuilt and used the tan Norrels I got from you, here it is:
I need to redo the float tube body, it didn't stick to well (too smooth of a surface). I'm going to have it sandblasted tomorrow and respray it.

This next statement is by no means what so ever a definitive proclamaition one is better than the other. I have used a Short Dot and the reticle is a little busy for me. To me, the Kdot is faster but less precise for long range shots (due to reticle design). To me, the glass on the MeOpta is just as good if not better.
The Kdot gives me a true 1x illuminated reticle optic, that can be dialed up to 4x without having to remove or put on anything. If you do not already own an Aimpoint or Eotech (not sure who that would be) the Kdot has a cheaper acquisition cost.
I weighed the Kdot with LaRue SPR 1.5 and it weighs 25.6 OZ.
My Eotech 512, LaRue Eotech riser, Aimpoint 3x and mount weighs 23.8 oz
In my mind, that is essentially equal.

Edited....this statement is wrong. The S&Bs I was talking about had custome reticles done by Premier Reticle which is just down the road from my shop. One of the Techs treats me once and a while and the Short Dot he showed me had a custom reticle that I persoanlly didn;t like. I forgot that it was non standard until Dinger posted the pics on page 2. Thanks for the clarification on my boneheaded ommission.
That is sweet!
Great optics. The Meopta is another scope that was first widely used in 3gun rifle competition for the last 2 yrs and now making it's way onto fighting guns.
I will probably start using one soon too. Being a left eye dominant right handed shooter sucks when using a 1.5x scope up close (my brain is like WTF!). The 1x of the Meopta is awesome and faster for me than my German No.4 reticle in my Vari-X III 1.5-5x Leupold.
