LMT Enhanced BCG , small change

For those of you that enjoy the elegant Enhanced BCG from LMT, they just had a sale on them from their site. They sold them for $204 to my door.

Anywho, I noticed the finish on the Bolt was different. In the past they were a chromed bolt that was very shiny. The new bolt is a more of a NP3 finish. Matt finish in color. It may just be a color thang??

I wonder if anyone knows if they changed anything significant.

I tossed it in my 14.5 Enhanced lightweight BCM upper with AAC mini. Ran like a champ.

Yeah, myself and another guy on here bought one from that sale. They were semi carriers but for the price I can live with it. Yeah, I noticed mine was more of a matte finish than my other ones, which as you said are shinier. LMT's finish in those is proprietary but some have speculated that it's a nickel/chrome mixture. This new one is definitely a more dull, matte finish. Sure hope they didn't change anything as I wouldn't really care for anything other than the original finish.

It is a different finish, but they are not publicly making the specs on the new finish known.

Now that you mention it, what is the magical steel they used? Anyone know?

    what??

Im still waiting for my enhanced bolt and if they pulled a fast one I will likely return it. If you go on their site now it shows the enhanced bcg and it clearly shows a shiny chromed bolt. The fancy material is aermet 100

It's been a while since I read any threads about LMT's enhanced bolts/BCG, but they have made changes before. Have any past changes been problematic?

You can tell by looking at it that it's different. It actually looks like hard chrome bolts I've seen and have. Now I have no issues whatsoever with a properly hard chromed bolt but that is not what I expected from an LMT Enhanced one.
