Aimpoint Comp M5

It was only a matter of time but Aimpoint just won the Swedish Army contract worth $2.5mil to replace their old Aimpoint with CompM5.

I used to think so too. Got confirmation from Aimpoint Sweden that the CompM5 is the first.

My first clue was when I saw that the CompM5 has straight tapped screw holes, while the Micro T-2 has steel helicoil inserts.

I don't see why they wouldn't use helicoil inserts in the CompM5 just because it is made out of 7075 aluminum... After all, the Trijicon ACOG is made out 7075 aluminum and they all have helicoil inserts.
