How SLOW will your AR run ??

Playing with a 3-gun rifle the other day and thought I'd down-load some ammo to see how SLOW it would run. With a 20-inch barrel shooting 55gr bullets I chrono'ed it down to 1875 ft/sec before it started short-stroking. Rifle was running a USGI buffer spring with four coils cut-off and a JP light buffer but a stock gas system - no adjustable gas block etc.

Anybody ever see how slow/easy-shooting your rifle will run?

My 3 gun rifle wouldn't work for crap using a JP low mass carrier and buffer. I do have an adjustable gas block (also JP). The low mass carrier made the rifle very finicky where it would run if adjusted just right. I little too much more gas and it would cycle so fast it couldn't pick up the next round in the mag but would lock back on the last round. A little less gas and it would short cycle. I sold the carrier and Rocksetted my gas block fully open and run a Leitner Wise Advanced Combat Bolt now in a JP full weight carrier.
