Thumbs up For the Tom Selleck fans . . .

A thirty six minute interview sounds long but it goes really quick if you are a fan of his work. I have never seen a TV show, mini-series, or film of his that I didn't like.

Blue Bloods can be pretty liberal biased but that's probably necessary for an accurate portrayal. OK, cop show.

Actually love his films like "High Road to China", "Lassister" and "Quigley Down Under." The first two are forgotten gems of the 80s. Also back when TLC was actually about learning he did an excellent series "The Practical Guide to the Universe" which is right up there with Cosmos in terms of concentrated interesting information.

Of course Magnum PI was great but when I watch it now I'm disappointed by how much of a mooch he was with respect to his friends.

Keep in mind for the Magnum character, he was sort of going through an early mid life crisis.

His dad died when he was a kid, which is a tough little man of the house spot to be in.

He went to the Naval academy.
All responsibility and no fun compared to most kids in college.
He became a SEAL and did his VN time.
Then stuck in a intel officer role.

He got out, and was finally able to knock out some childhood and teenager no responsibility time.
Yeah, he was a mooch, and the series did a great role presenting VN vets as something other than street living crazy guys. But he was not exactly well adjusted and normalized for civilian life to start with.

Again, I loved the show, but he should have not taken advantage of his war buddies like that. The only other complaint I have is they presented Delta as this shadow CIA hit squad rather than as elite special operations.

    Probably the best episode ever.

It swings both ways, like showing saying grace before meals.
