True to size. If your a 12 in nikes and most you other shoes you will be the same in Salomons. They are awesome for easy on easy off Gore-Tex lightweight boots.
I apologize as I didnt even know they made them without gore tex. For $99 the gtx version is the way to go:
(FDE) - https://lapolicegear.com/salomon-coy...-gtx-boot.html
(Ranger green) - https://lapolicegear.com/salomon-l40...a-mid-gtx.html
The 4D is more of a typical hiking boot. The XA has a wider toebox and a reinforced instep, it has a plastic piece on the inside of the boot for rappelling and fast roping. They also have their QuickLace system which makes on and off extremely quick. Its a mid boot so it has a mix of ankle support while remaining lightweight. The 4D will weigh more but have better ankle support. The 4D you linked is also gore tex so to be comprebal you would need to buy the boots I linked above.

Thanks for the info. My trusty Adidas Terrex Solo's are on their last legs. These would be a good replacement.
PA is having a sale on Trijicon LPVO.

Best price I've ever seen on a brand new Surefire X300V IR pistol light. (Come to think of it, I'm not sure I've seen them used for that cheap).
$212 and free shipping.
