Looks just like the Brownells marked one I have. It sits on my AR22, so no real stress on it. No issues yet.

Quick question... I have a buddy who's just starting AR's and on a tight budget... anything that's tolerable in about the 700-900 dollar range right now? I told him about a Ruger I saw at CDNN, but is there anything better he could do with those numbers in the current market? He can handle buying separate URG/assembled lower, but I don't think he has the tools or inclination for full-on self-build yet.

Thanks--there was an M&P Sport II in the same range I suggested also, but the Ruger was a 1/8 twist while S&W was only 1/9.

I have a couple PSA rifles, and they've been great. Hard abuse, and zero issues. Seems like their QC is a little better these days, and i think they are good for a budget rifle.

Something like this could be a good option

Complete PSA 16" nitride upper with BCG/CH and rail $399: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...per-w-bcg.html
PSA complete lower with Magpul STR $250: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-...-magazine.html

    Total $ 650 before tax/shipping

IWI Zion mid-length looks like a good deal to me from the specs. I have not researched it much so feel free to chime in with negatives. I have not hear any.

Not sure if the Sig M400 gets any love but seems decently setup?

Remember, not everybody has unlimited gun-money... he's in Colorado so that 6920's off the table for him because of the mag. I did FW him the link on the M400, and to this thread.
