Lesser protection for 5.4 # per plate, more protection for 7.5 # per plate.

I went with the lighter weight. The L210 appears to most anything I would have to worry about.

How do you like the plates? The price seems good...

From what I understand it is not the same polymer. M3 has a stronger polymer, hence why they sell the gen 2 at a discount.

I am 99.9% sure that somewhere on this site it was confirmed that they eventually switched over to the new polymer with all mags. Can’t find on mobile.

I hate to be the guy that would recommend such a thing... But I was recently in search of some cost effective plates akin to level III+. If the new Hesco D220's rated for DEA specific rifle threats were cheaper I'd have bought those, but I ended up settling on Militechs after watching some ballistic reviews.
