Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Followup: Shark came through on the Grip-Pods!

Observations: They're a bit big for my hand and kinda heavy--they're solidly built and mechanically sound and I can see them working better than their FAB Defense competitor as a bipod. I can understand why my friend "Monster" preferred to stick with Broomsticks for CQB and the GP's for more "long-range work expected" situations; they're solid kit but definitely "Horses For Courses" and personal preference.

Would buy again in a "rewind", would buy again for future builds oriented toward mid- to longer-range envelopes; the M4 you guys helped me build in my friend's memory, and his M16 if I proceed with it, will probably stick to having his Broomsticks mounted in his memory, with the GP's as part of their accessory-kits for "hands-on learning" roles.

Glad you like them, I think they shine with an ACOG or LPVO, which is typically what I use them with. However, they work well enough on higher power magnification scopes, just not as well as a traditional bipod. I’ve also used them with a beltfed, and while it’s not impressive in a fixed position, if you are patrolling it works and still gives extra options.

Great prices on springs and small parts. For guys who haven't stocked up on little springs and tiny parts, this is a great time to bulk up. Most of the small springs are 22 cents a piece.
