Interesting find in a not-good way... Inforce acquired by Sellmark and added to a portfolio that includes such luminary brands *snort* as Sightmark, Firefield and Kopfjager.

Interesting find, looks like the BCM-Vltor partnership has soured and BCM's doing their own thing on "improved recoil systems," though I'm having trouble seeing a difference between MK2 and A5.

Stick, what's the version you heard here?

Funny you should ask. I shot the pics and have the new system on my desk with my elbow resting on it. I'll point out that my desk is a mess.

I doubt it is a soured relationship, I'm not sure where you heard that from. My guess is simply that BCM needed more than Vltor was capable of making. If Vltor Abrams is running another project, like for the GOV, that will take machine priority over civilian gun sales parts. Again, this is just a guess on my part. The only thing I know which is 100% positive, is these are nicely machined and sitting right next to me.

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Probably worth its own thread if you want to start it. There are a lot of things that could come out of it.

Thanks, Stick. I always thought BCM had licensed the patent and was doing their own production to the A5 spec under royalty agreement, and usually you don't do your own version until such agreements are terminated. (If memory serves, Kawasaki stuck by the spirit of the licensing agreement and paid Boeing Vertol royalties on every Model 107/CH-46 derivative they built even after the agreement expired, while as soon as the licensing agreement between Westland and Sikorsky for the UH-34 expired the former started trying to flood the world with Wessex copies.)

They currently are offering 12% off so it brings it down to $56 and change...

Charging handle showed up, I don't see any blemishes on it... I think sometimes companies mark stuff as blem just to clear out inventory.

Oops... in my defense, it was coming off back-to-back doubles, too much fatigue and not enough caffeine. If you can get one of the high-level mods to rehome that thread over here I'm good with that.
