Lots of ammo hitting the market right now. Its interesting to see some of the new players. Ammo Inc is one that seems to be grabbing a decent sized chunk. I just picked up some of their 230 grain hollow point because I was getting low after giving a HK 45 USP to a family member, and setting him up with holster, mags and ammo.
    Stick

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

Yes there is. PSA was selling the Ammo Inc 9mm for a good price. PSA also has their own brand now, AAC, and they have some calibers launched with more to come as well as steel ammo. They shoud have a 77 grain SMK coming out soon i am interested in trying

Bad news from a PNW boardmate re Ammo Inc... well, between them and retailer Bi-Mart.

"Yesterday a buddy of mine stopped over, he is a new AR owner and he had a problem. He said that he shot his new rifle (new 16 inch Stoner upper and new aero lower) about 60 rounds of new 223 brass cased ammo. A few days later he bought some .223 made by ammo Inc., it’s reloaded ammo and he had failure to fire and failure to extract problems.
The first thing I did was check the Ammo Inc. stuff. I noticed they had silver primers, reloaded cases with dings, not new ammo. In my experience most new ammo has bronze primers. Comes to find out that none of these cartridges would pass a case gauge check or the plunk test in my new 556 barrel.
Has anybody had any problems with this reloaded ammo from bi Mart?

He called bi Mart and they just stated that they have no returns on ammunition and didn’t want to hear that they are selling bad ammo. His next step is to contact ammo Inc. directly to see what they want to do about this situation."

I'll bet a certified letter with official notification of the issue and threat to public safety, along with the threat of a class action lawsuit that he will join as soon as one other person complains of injury no matter how slight, would grab their attention most quickly.

Ill stick with the known quality players like Federal & Speer & Winchester and other for now. Ill never forget after Sandy Hook trying to stock up on .45 ACP..was trying to buy about anything. Some yahoo's down around Cullman AL were selling some kinda reman with Zinc HP in 230gr.
Thank goodness I had a chrony. That shit was dangerous as all hell..iirc velocity spreads 150-200 fps. I chronoed several, and threw the rest into the woodline where it could rot. No more off brand for me after that. I told the gunshop in Huntsville about it and they could not have cared less.

LaRue is having a sale on their Triggers. $89 apiece or 3+ for $79 each. I haven't seen what the regular price of their triggers is lately, so not sure how good a deal it is, but each one comes with a Dillo too.
