The paint around the front take down pin hole is causing tolerence stacking. I need to whack it hard several times with a plastic hammer to get it on/off. I tried some oil. No improvement.

My guess is that they are parting them out on clearance. The MUR really is a fantastic upper, I have a couple over here but still wish I had more.

Kicking myself for missing this deal. I could use one more in any color.

Ehhh, I can understand their position. If 10hrs is fair, then why not 14hrs, or 18, or 24hrs?

Dunno how they measure up on The Chart, but CBC Industries just launched a pair of M4 clones (bare flattop and detachable carry-handle)--regular retail listed around $600, but they're doing an Intro Special at $400. I'm just a n00b still learning my way around what to look for, but the free-float 16" middy upper I bought from 'em last year looked and felt pretty solid (though I haven't had a chance to put lead through it yet--you all've seen it on my build with another site's custom-engraved lower and my custom BCM Rustoleum Edition OD keymod covers), so I thought I'd pass the headsup along and let everybody size it up and decide for yourselves.

I wouldn't expect these to be Top Tier Operator Grade, but for a lookalike plinker and low-cost "beater trainer" it might be something to consider.
