I've got thousands of rounds through a couple different mags with TF base plates... they run great.

Default, much thanks for the heads up! Ordered one. Can't wait to put it through it's paces.

The plastic at the bottom is apparently just a sleeve, so it's a full 20 round metal tube... which means I can now make ~170mm magazines, if I throw a +5 extension on these, assuming I can find the proper springs, which I suspect the Taylor Freelance +10 M&P springs will work for. 25 rounders for USPSA is definitely gonna be fun, and might even work as a reload on the war belt or for EDC.

Remember that this sleeve works as magazine insertion limiter. Without it you can over-insert magazine when doing slide lock changes. This can lead to bend ejector (if you are strong enough) as ejector will work as magazine stop.

BTW If you will dump original followers (and slide lock feature) you can try Grams STI/SV followers and springs (you must cut out slide lock tab in Grams follower to let it pass HK slide lock lever). This will give you +2/3 rounds (depending on some other minor factors).

If either of you end up going this route, please share the results/ how to.

Also, any new youtube vids coming, Montrala?

20% sales tax? **** my life. I couldn't imagine paying a 20% mark-up on a relatively inexpensive item like these mags, let alone something like Kahles or S&B glass at $2-4k.

I'm afraid not sooner than spring next year. My financial situation in last years is difficult, to put it mildly. Thanks to my sponsors I have rifle, pistol, shotgun, scope and some ammo to use and can shoot at all (big kudos to them and some HKPro guys who supported me with cash donations to allow my come back to shooting) but still I can afford 3-4 matches a year tops.

23% in Poland. 25% in Sweden. Welcome to European Union of Socialist Republics.

Ordered some of these mags direct from HK. Here's a couple quick pictures.

They are all steel body mags. Appears to be the same baseplate and follower as the normal 15 round mags. There is a plastic sleeve to prevent over inserting. They loaded up with 20 rounds without issue. I have not shot them yet.

Compared to the HKparts +5 they are a bit bigger but not too much.

I swapped out the factory follower and spring for the Grams set that came with my Taylor Freelance +5 extension. The mag will now hold 22 rounds but it feels like it's about to burst. It will seat with a closed slide, but I think I'll leave it at 21. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to the range to test function, but will report back when I do.
