It sounded like to me Mueller was saying to the Dems... 'Look, I'm one of you but there was just nothing there and you all knew it going in'. 'Here is my last play and I'm out of the game.' 'If you are going down the impeachment road, don't drag me along'.

He's basically saying he tried to get Trump but regardless he's not going to be any more of a part of the Hillary and Obama machine like Comey was. I think he's worried about what is yet to be exposed and wants to make a clean cut. So he has to slap Trump again in order for them to leave him alone about testifying.

Not a bad pay day for Mr. Integrity. Nice work if you can get it.

At the same time though, he said he is not going to counter anything the AG says from here on out. So that's good for Barr. Actually it's great. Unlike Mueller who chose to remain silent and has now departed, Barr can now paint pictures as he desires. He seems to love to tweak the Dems too. 'Yes, we see some monkey business, but I can't talk about it'.

Mueller has told the Dems he's not getting in the ring with Barr. He's taking the money and running. Smart man. Especially since the Madam has a lot of new "girls" in her brothel that I'm pretty sure he has no desire to get in bed with any of them. Mueller is part of the old guard. He's not going to play with these new Dems and he's telling the old one's they blew it. He threw the 'Trump is guilty' innuendo out there simply because he's a Dem and could.
