Not trying to be cute or an asshole. Just confused by your apparent inner conflict over the look of your rifle. Is the monolithic look something you don't want? If so, the MRP has an automatic strike against it. Another downer for me is the proprietary barrel system it uses.

If you don't mind the monolithic look and you wanted something similar, Vltor VIS upper receivers can take any standard barrel you want to throw in there.

As far as the Omega, one huge plus for it is it requires no modification of the host rifle and it's a snap to remove. So if you don't like it, just take it off and sell it to recoup most of your money on it. They aren't hard to sell used, but cut on it, and I doubt you'll find many people paying as much as you'd like for it should you choose to get rid of it.

I'm not used to a monlithic rail that goes over the delta ring. It is just something new on me, I've not seen it a lot and am yet to get used to it. I have seen many free floats that remove the delta ring with the monolithic look.

I keep wondering if a free float would give me enough benefit to offset the cost. I have a KAC RAS on my LMT now and the only thing I want to do is add a sling mount to the rear of the handguard near the delta ring so I can get my light forward on the left rail under my thumb. The Omega just seemed a good compromise between cost, ease of installation and offers a free float capability. The only questions on the Omega are the looks of a rail over the delta ring and the possibility of loosening the barrel nut. I still have a little time before my next purchase, will just try to weigh all the options and decide then. I am most likely more confused than you are. Thanks for the reply, you opinions help probably more than you know.
