I settled for some NODAK retro receivers (upper and lower) that I will build up in tribute to him.

Masakari, nice rifle! I may have to look out for one of those.
They aren't common, but they do sell occasionally. I should note that I have also seen one of the original ArmaLites sell on GB for $4000.

I hope as interest in Retro AR rifles increases, the current ArmaLite will reintroduce the retro AR-10B and early AR-15.

That would be sweet, but I would not hold my breath waiting for this to happen. It would cost them a considerable amount of money to create all of the tooling and molds to do this. It may not be cost effective for them. That is an idea they would have to be approached with to see what interest, if any, they would have in taking on the projects. For them, is the risk worth the reward? That question would have to be answered ahead of time.

Yep, I was watching this one and it jumped out of my price range. Hope the new owner enjoys it. Thanks for posting the auction here, Masakari.

No problem. I'm always keeping my eye out for them.
One was on GB a few months ago and had no bids at $1200.

Looks like we're in luck thanks to Brownell's.

I’m about as happy as a horse munching sugar right now.
