My Colt MK18 / CQBR SOPMOD Block II Pistol Build (WIP)
Was inspired to build my own MK18/CQBR SOPMOD Block II clone based on the awesome work by PFran42 and so many others here:
https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread...Block-II-Build
Using the "Definitive" guide as a starting point, I'll walk you through my build and the decisions I made along the way, places where i may have diverged. I live in one state and my range and friends are across the state line in another, and I'm moving to that state in the next 90 days or so, so I wanted this to start as a pistol for ease of transport and so I could work out any kinks before I file SBR paperwork and buy a can.

Took advantage of a few sales over the holidays that several other builders shared (especially the the blemished Colt lowers and DD MK18 uppers). My main gaps are the DD barrel instead of a Colt barrel (but folks here have had great things to say about the DD uppers recently).

I just did my first mk18 style but pistol. Gave up on complete authenticity after getting impatient and threw a maxim pistol brace and tube on it with the jp heavy capture spring. I didn’t spring for the giessle yet but had a larue trigger lying around. Used a 10.5 inch Lmt complete upper priced up used that looks unfired and stripped Lmt lower. All the Lmt parts minus trigger I got from Lmt. My first build ever. Still too scared to shoot it. Oh and I topped it with a comp m2 but not the right mount. Have a used knights quad that I tossed on a 16 inch Lmt with a sopmod I might swap over but actually really like how light the plastic ribbed front is and how full it feels in my hands. Congrats on finishing. I love mine. Had a local class 3 dealer help me, retired from a bunch of departments, got to know him better. Was a really great experience
