Best advice.. stop reading a few pages back at IG n War Wag post.... rant on
A second Colt 6920, 6933 or A2/3-4 a standard baseline for a second rifles. 20 quality magazines to start then a few cans of ammo. I picked up a 2nd 6920 lower from Brownell's just to have. To the point on magazines I have many pre AWB magazines that are fine I could have fleeced people selling them, that may (will) come around again.

I have various pistols, shotguns, and rifles. I currently only have one AR15 rifle. It is a Colt LE6920 with the Magpul furniture. It has performed flawlessly during the 2,000-3,000 rounds I have put through it over a 4 year period. I have the itch to get a another firearm and the AR itch has risen. Honestly, there is no practical reason to do so, but a milestone in my life will occur this year and I would like to ""reward" myself with a new AR. I'm just a hobbyist that likes to shoot. I don't shoot as much as I like. Many with laugh at 2,000-3,000 rounds over a 4 year period and will suggest spending the money on ammo and classes. I have no formal military or law enforcement training. Nothing I shoot shoots back at me, but I would like a rifle that can do it all and be well rounded for plinking, a carbine class, HD, and a SHTF scenario.

What would be a noticeable step up in quality from my current Colt LE6920?

Feel free to share your thoughts.

Can't he but extra parts for His Colt for the future. An extrs BCG, barrel and a few other parts that tend to break over time. I have a LE6920 also and am looking at a DDV7LW. Its lighter weight than the Colt. Around 6lbs versus 6.8lbs for the Colt.

Extra friends with guns, esp. if they know what they are doing.
    And a get away car.

To the OP, if you have the money then why not.

Another panic and stupid prices are always 4 years away, at best, and 1 day away at the worst.

Not sure that's possible, their lust for control seems insatiable...

Do you (OP) Need A Second AR?
Why just one extra. I started with one then added uppers tailored to specific tasks (or abilities) and discovered each one is happier on it's own lower matched so...

Can you pay attention when a Mod tells you to get out of a thread? It means stop posting in it. Now you get a second vacation.
