I own the Gemtech HALO and G5. I am impressed with the performance both of them, minus the HALO mounting system. Both are fun to shoot and I have yet to notice any POI shift. I did have the chance to shoot a Surefire can a couple of months ago. It is a very lightweight 5.56 can, easy to attach/detach but it appeared to be just a little louder than my HALO. I did hear an Ops. Inc. and it too was pretty quiet to boot. If you need an unbiased review please look up silencerresearch.com .

For whatever reason, I'm having a hard time finding this can. Where is it available for sale?

I just ordered a Gemtech HALO. Are you unhappy with the mounting system?

    To the OP:

Get a can designed for the 223/556 and a separate muzzle can for the .22LR. Have your MKII and 10/22 threaded for that can. I've had good luck with muzzle cans from Sound Technology and Tactical Innovations.

    did you try major malfunction?
They make a psychiatrist get psychoanalyzed before he can become certified, but they don't make a surgeon get cut on. Does that seem right to you?

No, it is not as good as the M4-2000, but is better than nearly all other cans at any price (exception would be the KAC). The Inconel in the M4-1000 is significantly more durable than the Inconel Surefire uses on their blast baffle. I feel that even fans of the M4-1000 underestimate it due to the low price. We built it to be a $900+ can, but then priced it much lower.
That's what I like to hear, as my M4-1000 transfer was approved by ATF on Monday. So my first can will be coming home as soon as the paperwork arrives at my FFL/SOT!

You can't see it, but I'm doing the Dance of Joy right now.

You're going to love it. I liked my 07 1000 so much, I bought an 08 model to go with it.

We've put it on some full auto stuff before. There's nothing more awesome than silenced full auto. The sound of a 3 round supressed burst and the 3 round hitting the gong like an echo is a thrill.

The best, cost no factor, is the AAC SPR/M4. The best bang for the buck is the AAC M4-1000.

I'm at a loss to choose between the M4-1000 and the 2000. I thought I read there is a noticeable difference between the two. What is the db difference? For me, that is really the deciding factor. I'll pay the slightly higher purchase price for a noticeably quieter can. Also, can I specify which flash hider comes with it when I order it? tia!

The M4-2000 is significantly quieter. I don't have a number difference right now. I forget if it is 3, 4, or 6. But a meaningful improvement.

Also it has all inconel baffles rather than just the blast baffle. Also has a different mount.

You can choose which thread pattern but it will be a BLACKOUT which is what everyone should want. It is the best flash hider made by anyone. A military group upgraded from BE Meyers and is sending back rave reviews and using them daily in combat.
