BLACKOUT
If you get an M4-1000, you can find an old Phantom for it. But then it would be less durable and have more flash.
Well, at the Silencer Shoot we did a demo where we fired a 10 inch barrel at night in total darkness (no moonlight even) with no can. The rifle was 50+ yards away so it was safe to hear. Something like 150 people were there. No one said they heard a ping and no one saw any flash at all. At least I could not.
I can hear a ping with the can on if I am wearing electronic muffs because they amplify low sounds and cut loud sounds. So when the gun fires, the muffs mute the gunshot, but then unmute -- and you can hear the tail-end of a ping. It is more of an observation than an issue. It is like driving in your car and being able to hear your automatic transmission shift. Yes you can, but so what? There is still a gun shot and action noise which dwarfs it.
