    LMT VS. Noveske

Your suggestions are needed in this matter. I am about ready to buy my upper, but I am confused in which brand to get for my build. I want to stick with a 14.5" barrel length, and also intended to stick with an M4 barrel with the notch. So here is my comparison of what I want, and what it is going to cost me. Both comparisons are pretty close in cost, but am I cutting myself short In cost, quality, or noticeable performance. By the way this going on an LMT 2 stage lower. I originally wanted to stick with LMT so it would match the lower until I started looking at prices. Your input is appreciated.

    LMT 14.4" upper $489.00
    LMT BCG $130.00
    Troy MRF-DI $149.00
AAC Blackout F/H$ 95.00 (Not including perm. Attach cost)
    Total $863.00

Noveske Basic Upper Complete with AAC Blackout already perm. attached from Noveske $895.00.

If I add the Troy MRF-DI to the Noveske it will take me to $1044.00

Noveske also comes with a BUIS, which I don't need, I already have purchased a KAC BUIS. So if I call Noveske, and order from them, they may sell me the upper without the sight which would knock my price down around $140.00. Which would in turn make the Noveske $944.00 with the rail that I want. Like I said I originally wanted an M4 type barrel, but In comparison would I be making a foolish decision by wanting the M4 look of the LMT VS. the Quality and performance of the Noveske. Also, who makes the BCG that comes with the Noveske, and how doest it compare to the LMT BCG. Sorry to be so long winded for this post, but I want to be sure when I make my puchase.

    Thanks,

    Midge

Both choices are top notch. I don't have an M203 mounted, so I think the notch is superflous. I prefer the N4 barrel myself. I believe Noveske uses LMT BCG's.

you cant really go wrong with either choice...i would go with whatever setup is cheaper.

i went with a 16" LMT upper, and could not be happier.

now i want a 14.5" upper, and i will go with LMT again.

I believe Noveske uses CMT auto BCG.

    Noveske barrels are very nice.

    great question i pose another

which is better the vltor vis with Noveske barrel or the LMT MRP and thier barrels??

i know the LMT uses a different barrel profile limiting your aftermarket barrel choices.

does the guy at ar15barrels.com build LMT MRP barrels? i.e. i want a 6.5 Grendel option.

the LMT looks to be a lot slimmer profile upper

Get the one that you can take delivery on the quickest. Isn't there at least an 87 day wait on either of those?
