    My deposit of $0.02US----
The VIS is basically a MRP, except it's laser welded. I guess it's a PRP. Quite strong---apparently stronger via weld than a full monolithic platform like LMT uses. It goes along the lines of gluing two pieces of wood together being stronger together than a solid piece...weird, I know, but it's true. I won't ever look down on someone's rifle equipped with a VIS or an MRP---the piston MRP is my dream system. You are not limited to LMT barrels, and honestly, for half the cost, I'd strongly consider a VIS system. however, it started it's life as two pieces. I've never held one, shot one, but I have with an MRP. You can tell quality. VLTOR makes some phenomenal products---and that is why they're in business. LMT makes some phenomenal products----I have one----I know

Honestly, I'd go with the DD Omega rail instead of the MRF-DI because of the free float. i've heard the delta rings being slightly wobbly causing the MRFs and other non-free float HGs go get out of whack. Not something you want is it? So, have I helped? Didn't think so. I think the VIS will be a very good buy. Only 1 question---can it use a piston system down the road? Good luck buying your next weapon. God bless and Merry Christmas.
