    That's correct, and it works fine for that. Relying on that dimple and a LocTite'd set screw is a half-measure, however.

    Yes, I agree that in many circumstances and for many people, a LocTite'd dimpled gas block might be "good enough".

    Anyone who's been in my class knows I'm not a fan of screws on guns. Far's I'm concerned the GB screws are there to hold in in place while it is drilled for a cross pin. Several people are making gas blocks now that facilitate this, to them I say good goin'.

    Then you have HM Defense making barrels with an integrally-machined gas block. That might be too radical for some but I love that kind of thinking.

    This is wild. I've never heard of gas blocks moving until this thread.

    I'm an FSB guy anyway for anything serious use, but have never had a gas block move on any of our recreational guns.
