Unless you buy an upper with a FSP attached you will. These are hot>> https://scalarworks.com/shop/iron-si...d-iron-sights/

Those do look hot, but I think I might prefer flip-up sights.

6920 OEM 2 with any of the following rails: ALG EMR, Geiselle, Centurion (or whatever the hell you want, I pick those three because they are bombproof and have great barrel nuts). Put whatever furniture you want on it. Get some Troy flip ups (as discussed here ). Put an Aimpoint T2 or PRO on it, grab a decent sling, and an Arisaka 600 light.

Whatever sheckles you have left, buy Wolf Gold or some of that sweet sweet IMI 55gr that Midway has been pushing for 24cpr.

    We're done here.

I just bought this same gun last week and its amazingly accurate, feels good and not a hiccup in 1,000 rounds put through it this weekend- love the MilSpec color. Its my 2nd Daniel Defense, also have the DDM4v7; great gun- very similar except this barrel is 1.5" longer, 16inches vs the M4A1 14.5". I've got an Eotech EXPS2-0 on both, with a magnifier on the DDM4v7.

I started out drinking the Colt Koolaid and wanted a 6920 but when I read the threads on here about 8 months - 2 year turnarounds for their warranty items, that quickly turned me off of Colt. I have Springfields and DD with lifetime warranties that get the gun back to me in weeks, not years.

    JWages,

I use flip up sights with a magnified optic, fixed sights with a red dot.

    Howdy,
With a $2k rifle-only budget, you are limited only by your foolishness with money.
Get a solid rifle- Colt, BCM, KAC and cases (plural) of ammo and 20 (barest minimum) mags.
Shoot until you KNOW what changes you want to make.

Just curious, why that many mags? I've read tons of people saying to have many mags, but nobody ever said why.

    Reasons behind that?

    1. They are consumables.
    2. They won't get any cheaper, and
    C. Legislation or the threat of legislation can make them unobtain ium.
