Its starting to look the Swedish Kg m/37 and its sled mount might be useful on the Gulf coast after all. Snow forcasted for Monday.

So I've never even heard of a Swedish Kg m/37 BAR. Pre68 transferable or dealer sample?

Reading about it, that is the coolest variant I've ever seen...and I thought I wanted a Colt Monitor.

I have a foot of snow on the ground here. If you let me shoot it, I'll let you borrow my snow.

Transferable C&R gun all matching serial numbers. I know of only 2 in the USA. Its been a real challenge but I have found almost every accessory for it and I have numerous spare barrels and a parts kit. I've owned it for 15 years now. I bought a shit load of Swedish surplus 6.5X55 so I'm well stocked on ammo for it. Its a sweet shooting gun and makes the US BARs look like total shit. The Swedes really know how to finish a gun. The finish is original on the gun and it is a lovely deep blue. Every edge is crisp and straight. and there are no machining marks. Apparently some of the earlier Kg m/21 guns came in prior to 1968 and this was with them in mint condition. Still looking for the monopod for it as well as the AA sights and trainer sight.

Action cover / snow shoe on the bipod. The Swedes loved their MG accessories.

Made in 1927, its comping up on its 100th birthday

I've had my fill of snow here the last 3 days. Texas is not meant to be a frozen winter wonderland.

I’m entertaining myself imagining all of the conversations that resulted in a Swedish Mil-Spec dog sled transport for a BAR !

That is seriously nice. Only detraction I can think of is difficult ammo and doesn't look like it would be an off the shoulder shooter.

I obviously don't need to tell you that you have a seriously nice / rare one. I'm impressed by something firearms related about once every 10 years so I'm probably good till 2030.
