    TULA HP 7.62 x 39

Does anyone know why there is a 122 grain AND a 124 grain variety?

The variation in weight comes from the bullets being manufactured in different plants/countries is the answer I got when I emailed them. Some have speculated that the presence of pre fail cuts accounts for the 2 grains but I've had 122 grain that didn't have them. That's what lead me to email them and ask.

Agreed. When I get finished shooting my old stock, 8m3 is the only 7.62x39,I will have. Cheap enough to train with. Lots of frag.

Perhaps they keep all the correct 123gr bullets for themselves and send us the rest?
