This is standard mount. Extended version is not needed for this scope in my opinion

I happen to have both scopes so, here are my opinions:

Eye box: MK6 has little bit better eye box than NX8, but not by much...if eye box is top of your list on scope, than K16i or razor is way to go.

1x flatness: NX8 has better “flatness” at 1x compares MK6. I used to think MK6 has the flattest view at 1x, )yes even better than Kahles and Razor) before I brought my NX8 (I never look though Atacr 1-8) However I’ll avoid 20 MOA mount, it will changes the flat view of the scope even with diopter adjusted.

By “flatness” you’re talking about lack of “fisheye” right?

Also, can you explain how a 20moa Mount changes the flatness?

Thanks. I found the MK6 to be flatter than the K16i, as well. I have owned both in the past. The Eyebox on the MK6 was very tolerable for me. More than 10% worse though, and I would begin having serious doubts.

Bobro bolts their stuff togather. Some of it's perfect. Some of it's not. That's my opinion.
I sent the Bobro back and got a Geissele mount during their memorial day sale. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I like it a lot based on feel and dry fire.

There will never be a day that you’ll regret that decision.

Can anyone tell me what I’m missing here IRT how a 20 MOA base can change the quality of the view through a scope?

I was considering trying a NF mount instead of the Geissele to drop some weight, but my understanding is that they all have 20 MOA built into the base.

If you are shooting at distance, it keeps your center focus in the center of the glass. The very center of the glass has the best optical clarity and worsens out to the edge. I think thats the idea. The best scopes and glass touts edge to edge clarity etc buts its very difficult.

I initially had the NF mount, which has 20 MOA base. With 50 yard zero I’m shoot way high, so I have to dial down around 10mil. However, after all the adjustment, at 1x it turns to 1.5x...I adjusted the diopter but it doesn’t help much, therefore I swap to Geissele 0 MOA mount...the adjustment it’s about 1-2 mil of factory setting and the magnification at 1x is gone

I was so curious about this and dial my MK6 to 10 mil and it also increase magnification at 1x...I’m not a scope engineer so I don’t know why this happen, but I thought I should share this...this could be just my eye though
