"I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night..."
And, hail to the future Badasses to come!
Well Sir thats more than a little f'd up if you don't mind me saying so. Being a Screaming Eagle of today (2002-2006, 502 IN) I can tell you the men and women I served with had just as much heart, patriotism, courage, and will to fight as the men of yester year. About the only difference is now we ride into battle on UH-60s instead of C-47s and T-5s.

Air Assault!
I was thinking the same thing diesel, thanks.
Geesh, it was not my intention to take anything away from the current 101st. This thread was specifically about the guys in THAT picture because compared to that, not too many of us can touch them, (I don't care what Branch, Division or SOF unit you're in).
I know you guys have heart and carry rich a tradition. I fought with your brothers in Iraq during Desert Storm, but since many of you don't know my background and coming from the "other Division", I am obligated to give you 101st boys shit.
Just some friendly razin from your friendly (former) 82nd dude.
All in good fun. Nothing personal, but I will edit my initial post so that it will not offend any more Screaming Chicke..., uh I mean Eagles.![]()

Here are a few more. I always loved the mohawk!
One with the "Widowmaker" in the background.
And one with me and my old platoon.

Those original 101st guys set the tone. They were truly badasses. I wouldn't question anyone's patriotism who volunteers when we are currently at war. IMHO, anyone pulling trigger is a badass and no less a patriot. I'd be more intimidated and you'd look more bad ass if you weren't in ACU's though.(I hate those things) You got one with a war face? FYI, I heard SF got authorized to wear BDU's again in the pacific.
Air assault wing, leg on a string...
J/K! One Team One Fight.
