What Is CURRENTLY A Decent Shot Timer...?

Prices seem to be getting reasonable. I DID do a search but all the threads were pretty old and most recent replies were from 2017.

I want a stand alone, I don't want it associated with my phone, blue tooth or any of that. But I also don't want to buy junk grade.

This will also be my first personally owned shot timer, so looking for something that isn't too complicated. I probably don't need most of the features that exist on a lot of them, looking more for durability.

Would also want, but don't need, something that could record dry fire sessions if that exists. I know in the past shot timers sometimes had trouble picking up suppressed MP5s and the RO running with me literally had to hold it so spent brass would bounce off it to register shots.

Seeing stuff in the $150 range which seems acceptable if I can in fact get a decent shot timer for that kind of money.

What I have used at the last few matches I've attended and worked great is an AMG labs commander. They're on back order (i'm at 2 months or so) however but a few stores do or did stock them at some point. Buddy who has gone through 2-3 over the last decade recommended it.

Thanks for checking in, but I guess another requirement I'm gonna need is one that doesn't need to be replaced every 2-3 years.

I see these two a LOT on Range.

I use the latter/CED. Have run it for last 5/6 years no complaints. The small size makes it handy running Drills.

I use the Pocket Pro II. It seems pretty bomb proof and does what I need. It does not store any info, so you have to stop after a stage or shot string, and write things down, if you are trying to track things.

I've been collecting data recently, working on improving my times, and have been considering switching to something that can pair to a phone or tablet for easier record keeping. I'm not totally sold on the idea

I actually remember the Pocket Pro II and was leaning towards that one, but they are discontinued by the manufacturer.

Thanks for the follow up on that. The AMG labs commander seems like a nice one but I'd like to get something in the next two weeks.

Seems that Pocket Pro II is very popular but it's no longer available. Might have to buy the BT version even if I don't need it.

This is a timely thread, I need a new shot timer. I can't find my Pocket Pro II, I'm sure it is around somewhere but damn if I know where, so I'm going to buy a new one and have been wanting to look into what it currently out there.

    I use a pocket pro2. Had it for 7-8 years I think.
Uspsa matches use those, pact 3, or ced timers. I think youre fine with any of them.
