I'll say what I've said elsewhere:

It has just enough buttons to confuse 90% of the people on Earth when they try to use it under stress. I'm really disappointed in SIG. With just a little more effort, they (the vendor they buy it from, actually) could have made it too confusing for 100%.

I'd like to see some independent long-term testing on the durability of the laser diode, seeing as it is housed so close to the hot LED bulb. Generally, that's not considered a good thing for laser diodes.

Finally, as someone else mentioned, what exactly is the point of putting different color but otherwise identical buttons on a device intended to be used in the dark?

    LOL!

    well that settles that...

ETA: I was intrigued by this as I am a lefty and CT grips won't work for me with my method of holding a handgun.

I had hoped you would see this and answer as I was sure you would be dialed in on this. your input is always valid and spot on.

    thanks for your reply.

...with more effort....to confusing for 100%
    So that's an endorsement, right?

Just to be clear ... I've never handled one. It's a development from after my time at SIG. But at first blush it just doesn't seem to answer the mail. And I've got some heartburn over a lot of what the marketing people at SIG think a "good light" should be.

all of SIGs accessories are total crap lately. I'm a big SIG fan, but i'm really disappointed by the optics, lights, vertical foregrips and other accessories they are trying to push.

they don't have the level of quality deserving of the SIG-Sauer brand. it is disappointing indeed. I'd steer clear of pretty much every accessory they are shoveling right now.

if you want a similar (but better designed) light, the Streamlight TLR-1 and TRL-2 are now available with a new C4 emitter. a bit more output, a bit more run-time...still can be had for under $100. check it out.

That things got more buttons and controls than a Nasa space shuttle.

What the hell is the point in any of that?

Low cost to manufacture * high profit margin * perceived neat-o factor = $$$

    K.I.S.S.

I'm passing on this without handling it, but it looks to be more of a hinderance than a helper.

Considering there's nothing evident from the photos that would allude to user-friendliess, or anything resembling an intuitive/instinctive operation, I'm calling its interface totally impractical, no matter what the designers' intent was.
