    Hello all,

    Yep.

Been over on the other AR forum for a while, but I've been lurking over here a bit and I like the better attitudes over here so I decided to jump in.

Excellent article, Erik! The number of people who assume they'll never possibly need a pistol beyond 25yd (or 10yd or 5') amazes me.

And welcome to the site. About damn time!

    Erik,

I really liked this line in regard to controlling deviation when the target is further away:

Other than distance, the only change is the intensity with which we apply the fundamentals.
    Good Stuff.

While you're here: I enjoyed working with the USSA guys on the during the TBD taping last week. Your facility and personnel are top notch.

An interesting, thought-provoking article. Thank you for your post, and welcome.

The first time I read about LAV's "walk-back" drills, I wondered briefly about their use. Your article reinforces that learning. It's a very good confidence builder. As you said "If I can make a 100-yard shot...."

And as far as skills are concerned - "Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."

Confidence builder is right - also dispels stupid myths like "you can't hit anything with an AK"...
