I am very excited about this. Completely enclosed, first red dot designed to take recoil while pistol mounted, and battery installation without removal. Sounds like a solid win. Cant wait to try it out.

I am cautiously optimistic here. The thing looks massive though, and that does concern me a bit. Obviously if it comes out and is typical aimpoint quality, it will be the new MRDS standard in the industry.
To add, the ability to switch the battery without removing the optic is a fantastic feature started by the deltapoint. The more than one year battery life is low for Aimpoints though.

98% Sarcastic. 100% Overthinking things and making up reasons for buying a new firearm.
Its taller than an H1 with the low mount installed...

I'm going to put one on a Benelli M2, and see how it does compared to their S-1 unit.
Its .9" taller than an RMR. Adjustable LED RMR is 1" high, this is 1.9". The DPP which is already so high that it typically has very few options to cowitness is 1.3" high. The H1 is 1.4" high without a mount, 1.6" with the low mount. Not sure what you're talking about.

Seems to be a lot of hate for this sight so early on but I can't for the life of me understand why. It seems to be only marginally larger than an RMR and looks to be built about as well as an Aimpoint should be.
Honestly, if these come in at or below current T1/T2 prices then I'm all over it. I haven't plunged into the pistol RDS game yet because I knew Aimpoint would have something eventually. I have faith they'll get it right the first time.
Hopefully these will be available soon.
