Docter is popular in Europe but RMR still dominates in North America and I suspect RMR is more durable.

This new Noblex sight (new name for Docter) seems to be very durable. It looks like one solid piece of glass (probably prismatic design). It shares exactly nothing with popular "Docter Sight" design.

As am I. Fingers crossed it doesn't require a specially milled slide (yes, the crack vapors taste good today).

Yes you need an optic ready slide. The only mrds that does not require that is Meprolight Micro RDS Kit.

Because you can just tell by looking at it. It won't mount directly on the rear dovetail because there are simply too many dovetail cuts and there's no universal fit.

ACRO P-1 mounts at Picatinny-like(?) mount. On press materials I received there is a plate mounted on Glock M.O.S. and then sight is clamped to this plate on something that looks typical rail. Unfortunatelly no pictures of mount or underside of sight.

I'm intrigued. Anyone have a line on when they will be available?

Nice, really hope it turns out to mount on pic rail. I was just starting to think about what optic I wanted for my CZ Scorpion. Depending on the price this could be a strong contender.
