We shoot in Casa Grande if you want to meet us sometime. Its almost halfway depending on North or South Tucson. PM if your interested. We can stretch those TMK's out to 1,000.
I wonder if they too hot and outrunning your mag spring but that doesn't make sense for first rounds. I have KAC mags which are spendy, but may offer a different result. Not sure why the first 4-5 rounds wouldn't feed

I will definitely have to make it up there some time to shoot with you guys. I'll have to get the 195 TMKs dialed for the 700 too. That's the next project, then It's on to 5.56.
The mag won't feed from a locked bolt by using the bolt release either, I tried both pmags and lancer.
Went over 500rds in the LMT today.
I rechecked velocity on 45.2gr of 4064 w/155 TMKs and got just over 2710fps.
The hornady 150gr FMJ clocked in at 2668fps with 44.9gr 4064. And actually put 3 into lees than 1". But that was definitely not the norm. Every load I shot today including through the Remington 700 would put 2 together and one flyer. The 556 gun shot great (.40-.95" groups with 73 ELD + 77 SMK)
The hornady fmj seem inconsistent. I set the OAL and the cannular would be noticeably different. I need to find something better and I may have a cheap practice load.
Also, the 700 is not a fan of hornady Eld factory ammo either. FGMM shot the best today but it still had random flyers.
Our 700’s didn’t love the ELDS in 308 either. Mark just loaded up a Tubb of 178 ELD’s as LMT MWS AMMO. We are going to toss some out of our Bolts and see how that goes.
Looking forward to seeing what velocity we can get. Our last 168 load was a bit slow so Mark bumped the powder charge and loaded a heavier bullet.

And what’s insane is we shoot bug holes with 4 different 300WM GUNS pushing the heavy 220 and 225 grain bullets
More load testing today.
155gr TMK - best load was 40.8gr 4064, 0.95" 5 shot group.
168gr TMK - best was 43.4gr, 0.95" 5 shot group.
All the other hand loads of 155, 168 and 175gr GMM were not good.
As a side note, the factory Hornady 165gr ELD shot a .6" 3 shot group from my Remington 700 (175gr GMM shot a .25" 3 rd group).
Thanks. I still have some things I want to try, like an OCW with the 155 & 168 to see if what I came up with will test ok. I'm also going to load some 178 ELDs for the 700 and see how they do, the 195 TMKs aren't working as well as I hoped. Maybe someday I'll get to shoot for fun instead of load development.
