    Thermolds might be worth a shot. If you do try them, based on my experience, I'd replace the springs.

    I always liked these way back when because they didn't have a carry handle, and looked different from an AR. Now with the switch to mainly flattops on AR's, that is a moot issue. Still, that is a nice find in a retro rifle. Congrats!

    I had really hoped that Armalite wouldn't screw the pooch on the 180B's but yeah.

    Its a shame the AR-180 is more of a collectors piece than a shooter. In retrospect perhaps I should have kept mine.
