Might up the powder to 78.5 and see if I can get to 2950 fps. That I would be really happy with. That would be about 50 fps or so less then the 26 inch barrel 300wm I have that shows very slight flattened primers at a touch over 3k fps with these same pills.

I also have 11 lbs of H4831 and considering using that. I believe the temp stabilities of those two are really close and shouldn't really make much difference. Usually the H4831 is listed as the most accurate. It's a slightly faster burn the H1000 so maybe I'll give that a go with this 24 inch barreled Cadex.
Your probably fine at 2930 fps, but what the hell it doesn't hurt to try. With 200 grain pills and 24 inch barrel, that very respectable. We have never tried anything but H1K for 300WM, let me know if you try it and how it performs. I think we have an 8lb jug just sitting around.

I did some load development with it on a 26" Rem 700 a while back. The barrel was really slow with all powders I tired. Imr4831, H4831, H1000 and one other but can't remember off the top of my head. I've always shot H1000 for WM. But a shop had a sale on the powder and I just bought everything on the shelf as I know it works in 300win mags. Just haven't ventured away from h1000 because it works so well.

Yes I'll be spitting hairs with the velocity. I just like to sling em as fast as possible while not having pressure signs. But for the barrel sake, your right, 2925 +/- is good enough.

Have you guys shot the 212 ELDx yet?

3 more rounds through the brass so we are at 16 total. Giving up now. Not sure what I'm chasing so I'm hanging it up. Primer pocket was fine. Shot the same velocity +/- 5 fps as the other loadings of 78gr of powder. Giving this brass an A+ for longevity.

16 stout loads of 300WM, that works. This Brass may be some of the nicest 300WM brass on the planet.

Thanks for the feedback. We're still working through our first firing of the first 50 round box.
