    Cz 75 issue - hammer wont cock

    Hey folks;
    I kept my 75bd in a holster on my coffee table back in my old apartment. Due to it being a very small space that coffee table was routine flipped on its end, resulting in the cz
    Tumbling around inside (I’m a fan of torturing my gear).

    After pulling out the cz recently I noticed that I can’t actually pull the trigger. The hammer seems to be stuck - no matter how hard I pull it back or press the trigger it just doesn’t move beyond half cock.

    I have a hunch it’s due to a certain pin drifting but I turn to you fine folks for guidance

    Will the hammer move when you try to move it directly?

    Its been a while since i messed with a 75 trigger, but id start by removing the hammer spring (mainspring- m4brian reminded me what the real name is) and see if it frees up. If not, id just start breaking the trigger group/hammer down. The trigger/hammer group isnt too complicated. Just keep the work area clear.

    If you have to go past relieving pressure on the mainspring, get a video and take your time. If you end up taking out the sear cage you might want to use a slave pin.

    Good. Can you move the slide ever so slightly rearward so that the disassembly lines on the left rear of the slide and frame line up? If so, remove the magazine, line the disassembly lines up, push out the slide release and remove the slide assembly. At this point, can you pull the trigger or not?

    It field strips just fine, trigger lock up does not seem related to anything in the slide

    Have you removed the mainspring yet?
