    Colt 6933, suppressed ammo suggestions

So I'm thinking of using the 6933 in a competition, range out to 200 yards, shooting full IPSC and half IPSC. Shooting suppressed.

What does anyone recommend for consistent fairly accurate ammo. I keep looking at the FGMM 69gr SMK and the FGMM 73gr Berger but I'm thinking they are kind of overkill and $1 each, so maybe there is something under 50 cents... Maybe IMI? or anything in the 30 cents a pop range that shoots well?

    thanks,
    Scott

What size target at 200? Half an a-zone?
Cut in half with a horizontal or vertical line?

Depending on that, wolf gold might be good enought.
American eagle 50gr varmint is noticably more accurate and goes for about $0.30 a pop.
Honady 75gr match in steel case is $0.40 a shot (no experience yet)
In my experience, anything with a poly tip (varmint tipped) is more accurate than 55/62gr fmj.
Federal fusion (62gr) usually shoots 1.3moa for me.

hey thanks, so this is the large size target: about 18"x30", and then half of that size as well... same shape just 50%

IMI Razorcore is on my list once I burn through the stock of Black Hills I have on hand. It gets good reviews from people I trust to know about such things.
AQ planned for years and sent their A team to carry out the attacks, and on Flight 93 they were thwarted by a pick-up team made up of United Frequent Fliers. Many people look at 9/11 and wonder how we can stop an enemy like that. I look at FL93 and wonder, "How can we lose?". -- FromMyColdDeadHand

Yes, I've always wanted to try the razor core, maybe I'll give it a go

Magtech 77gr. can be had for less than .60 cents a round and it works very well.

Scott, you'll have to shoot a variety of ammo in your AR until you find something that works. I've been shooting Federal 55 gr 5.56 that comes in 150 round boxes for $57 (before tax) and it consistently stays inside 2 moa with my suppressed 6933 and two other ARs out to 300 yards.

You can try the MEN ammo. It's 1.5 MOA in any decent gun.

hey thank you everyone... I kind of figured there would be some discovery to figure out what shoots well on my equipment, and I've been shooting reloads with the Hornaday 55gr HPBT projectiles with pretty good results, so I'm hoping either the 69gr or 77 gr smk work well

    thanks again,
    Scott

It is complete ****ing garbage compared to BH.

I shot some of it that my friend bought through a chronograph. It has a velocity standard deviation 5 times larger than the BH. Using a 3*sigma tolerance window, the IMI can vary by 130 fps.

There is a person in the KAC forum on arfcom who compared IMI Razorcore, Magtech, and BH 77 grain loads. He got the same results I did. The BH is far superior. His results are also posted in that forum.

BH has the most consistent ejection and grouping also. The only complaint I have about BH is that it can have a nasty case head swipe in some guns but has never malfunctioned.
