I would do the Colt as someone said, unless you are into clones. But-either one, switch out the barrel, gas block and muzzle device and whatever lower you chose, must use an A5 or it won't work or be accurate-don't forget to paint the thing!

Of those two I’d go with the URGI. The Geissele rail is more robust compared to a CMR and I’d rather have a Daniel Defense mid-length barrel.

I would still prefer a MK14 with a 16” Daniel Defense barrel as I’m not concerned with clones or pinned muzzle devices.

If the budget allows the Geissele this is the correct answer. Might as well spend a few more ducats and get a better KAC mousetrap and some good BUIS that make up some of the cost difference.

Otherwise the Colt CCU is a great value.

The Geissele rail is superior to the Centurion rail on the Colt upper.

I do not like muffler clamp style rails that most companies design their rails with.

The KAC is superior to both.

Geissele if you don't mind spending the money and aren't overly concerned with weight.

    Very pleased with mine.

Which do you choose and for what purpose?

    Neither one.

Get the UGRI Colt NFA upper from Geissele or the SR-15 MOD2
