1911s deserve a good leather holster. I bought a pancake holster from Tucker and Byrd. Good stuff

Tony Kanaly of Milt Sparks fame (long time owner after Milt passed away) designed the PMK holster specifically for his wife Pam (hence the initials).

It is designed to be more comfortable for a woman's curves. As it happens, it is also a smoking good holster for men too. Very comfortable.

For the OP, it would be well worth your time to check out the PMK from Milt Sparks.

    Buy Once Cry Once.

Paying $120 bucks (or whatever they run these days) for a high quality rig, beats the hell out of having a cardboard box full of crappy $60 holsters that are "just as good as", that never really are, and you've wasted $300 dollars on, trying to be cheap.

This website is marketed toward women. Under "Articles", there's a section regarding choosing holsters.

Every good 1911 deserves a nice pair of leather pants. Take a look at Privateer Leather - my hunting partner had one of the OWB Askin's style numbers done up for his P35 and I now have one on the way form my Dan Wesson LASD Specialist...

    ^^Agree with Privateer Leather.
Wes (Dahl) is a craftsman ina similar league with Lou Alessi (RIP Lou) and very easy to work with.
Have his leather for several pistols.

Right now Tim at TT Gunleather is running two weeks turn round on custom leather.

His work is outstanding and priced very good. I've owned and still own several of his holsters, both OWB and IWB.

    Give him a look.

David Cox @ Davis Leather Co. in Ash Fork , Az. David worked with the originator of Davis Leather, G. Gordon Davis, a legend in
handgun leather, specializing in 45 automatic holsters.
If your serious about hand gunnery these will serve you well.
