That would be illegal under net neutrality, so that's not an issue.

Oh wait, net neutrality is evil. Forgot about that.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of this:

Just look at how Facebook had the largest single plunge in value in history a week or so ago. All these guys like Zuckerberg better enjoy it while it's hot, because the backlash is coming "bigly".

Facebook shut down a woman's account who is running for office as a Republican because she posted anti-Communism content. Her family survived the Communist Khmer Rouge purge in Cambodia and she had a video advertisement about the dangers of Communism for her ad campaign. The Communists currently control nearly all the media and banking institutions. This is really a fight for the soul of our country and it's fast becoming apparent that they will not go away quietly without a real fight.

    Disgusting:

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., is calling on other tech companies to ban more sites like InfoWars, and says the survival of American democracy depends on it.

“Infowars is the tip of a giant iceberg of hate and lies that uses sites like Facebook and YouTube to tear our nation apart. These companies must do more than take down one website. The survival of our democracy depends on it,” Murphy tweeted Monday.

Wait... Same group of people would be saying that the baker shouldn't have to make the cake for the gay wedding, right?

Sometimes y'all really disappoint me. The New York Times doesn't have to publish a column that I write trashing "Democratic Socialists" because they've published past columns of mine and a lot of people read them. This is the exact same argument, but online instead of in print. Hell, the fact that more people read papers online than in print means that it is THE SAME ARGUMENT. Nobody has to let me use THIER platform to push MY message.

Nobody has stopped Alex Jones from having a website, publishing content, and being found by the people who wish to view his brand of crazy. A few businesses have said that they don't want to publish his stuff while pushing their own brand of crazy. You're mad about that enough, stop using their sites and services, and find alternatives.

Anyone remember when MySpace was the dominant force in Social Media, Facebook was just a fringe site for college kids, and Twitter/Instagram didn't exist? I'm not quoting ancient history here, this was about a dozen years ago. I swear, it feels like the whole world has collectively lost their minds over a few websites that I couldn't really care less about.

And this is the truth to end all truths. A pox on all of them.

Seriously... Though I can't act all that shocked when a year and eight months into DJT's presidency the whole meat and potatoes argument behind the flim-flam Russia collusion case being investigated is: "people bought ads on Facebook, did the President know about it?!?!"

I swear, if we could make the internet "business use only" (pay bills, B2B transactions) for a month, the damned planet might be entirely saved as kids go outside and parents accidentally pay attention to their kids...

(And yes, I realize the nature of my comments is a bit hypocritical, but I'm just reading the forum while waiting for a dinner guest to arrive. Not going outside with the heat index at 105 and humid. )
