And that is why they will never be considered a gun fighters tool. I have a few PSA guns uppers and lowers, I have been very lucky with the quality & the prices. I just wish they could get it together and run like a fine tuned machine producing consistent quality. Their prices on ammo accessories and such are as good as it get. I just bought a ATI imported GSG 4.9" threaded barrel Firefly 22lr(Sig Mosquito)from PSA for $180.00 delivered to my FFL & 5000 rd's of CCI Minimag ammo $299.99 delivered to my home. But I must admit there is no good reason to not own a vetted brand 5.56 NATO fighting tool with the prices today. (BTW I'm no gunfighter)

Those were the days. I got two of their Premium uppers with the FN CHF barrels, and they are awesome. One has an FN CHF heavy barrel that I turned into a Recce/SPR build, and it's a tack driver.

Back then, you could pretty much buy their "premium" uppers with confidence and you knew the PTAC stuff was garbage. Now the lines are blurred a bit and it's harder to tell which of their guns are high quality or not.

It was a PSA upper with a .625 stainless steel barrel and standard M4 upper. The BCG was a hard chromed RRA.

So we realigned the gas block, tightened the screws and the upper functions fine. He will now need to find someone who can dimple the barrel for him and correctly install the block and screws.

I've probably had a half dozen that I bought and sold over the years. Kind of my "test run" brand. They ran except for a 6.8 upper. I sent that back, they fixed the gas tube and it worked sfter that. They also ket me keep a God awful amount of 5.56 tracer they sent by accident around 2012, and sent the correct ammo. I usually sell because they tend to be impulse buys.

Kind of like the 2 nitride carbines I bought on their July 4 sale. I don't need them, haven't shot them, but I guess at $350/ea, I just had to have them.

    Was this an Armorer's Class?

Correct. I was teaching a 3 day class in Northern California, and day 3 consisted of going to the range to observe various malfunctions and issues.
