My 10.5" .556 pistol with H2 buffer is violent compared to my 16.5" barrel, it destroyed my Nikon Buckmasters II scope.
Will a H3 buffer help reduce the "violence" ?
Thanks

Your rifle is overgassed depending on where it’s ejecting the cases
An h3 will slow down the rate but could also cause a short stroke if too heavy

From the sounds of it, the barrel may be very overgassed.
Is ejection nearly straight forward and sometimes erratic?
Going up one step in buffer weight will not adequately compensate for that much extra gas drive.
The best solution is to keep the H2 buffer and address the gassing issue.
We offer several "fixed" adjustable solutions.
Conventional adjustable gas blocks can also be had from several sources.
