I’m pretty sure a lot of us interested in this particular carbine “know” but you’re also missing the point. And, I’m not going to get into a pissing match with you, but what you’re suggesting is not comparing apples to apples.
As for me, my LGS finally got one in today and I bought it. $1415.
A few observations for those who are interested:
It’s a Colt with various handling marks on the upper and lower, but it was expected and it is certainly not bad or something that bothers me.
It came with the KAC VFG, 1 six rib rail cover, and 4 full size covers. I guess some haven’t been getting the 6 rib panel and the VFG in the box and have had to request from Colt.
No C stamp on the BCG. There is a white dot on bolt, and no F mark on FSB. Cage code on upper, barrel, and stock, none on CH.
Overall, based on my initial inspection, it looks good and about what I was expecting.
The overall package including the rollmark was what I was seeking and I was willing to pay the price. End of the day, it is up to the prospective buyer to decide if this is worth it to them or not. To each their own.

I don't think I would want US Government Property engraved on anything I own, good out of the box configuration other than that.
Why would the .gov property thing bother you? A few others have said the same thing.
I’m not trying to me argumentative, I’m genuinely curious.
If worried that some uneducated LEO or Fudd “calls it in” or something, wouldn’t take more than a few minutes of investigation of the Colt website, or serial number and a call to Colt to find this is considered “a collectible” and totally legit.

That XM177 retro would be awesome... but not at that price.

On original and repro 1911's I think all the patent markings and US property marks look downright cool.
