This will be for when this barrel I'm using now is shot out.
That's perfect. You should be able to pin and weld to 16.1x". My dedicated suppressed rifle is exactly the same, but I used the SF muzzle brake instead of the Warcomp. I like it so much I'm building a 14"bbl + Warcomp for a compact non-NFA build. The 16" Optimum rifle just got a 1-6 LPVO, and the Aimpoint that was on it is moving to the new 14" P&W. The 14" & 16" barrels are only .3 ounces different, which leads me to believe the 14" barrel is "stouter". That's definitely not a bad thing when you're dealing with heat.

My barrel now is a 16" with a 15" Geiselle hand guard, so I'll be sticking with a 16" barrel.

Don't need another rail...lol. My wife is already giving me stink eye, plus pinning and welding isn't for me. I like options.

So of the 16" barrels that I see on Clint's website, which one would work best for full time suppressed use?

I'd make that decision based on weight. I've run my 16" suppressed and it was fine with my RC Socom. I previously had the 16" MPR, and it did great in a precision role, but I never tried it with a can on it. It did seem like a great general purpose barrel. What barrel are you replacing?

Both the MPR and LPR have the same gas system and porting.

They're setup for unsuppressed use, but handle suppressors extremely well.

For 100% suppressed use, there would be a small benefit to adding a CustomTune Gas Port to drop the gas drive down a bit.

If not, bumping the buffer weight up slightly should have it running in the sweet spot.

Surefire requires 1/2-28 threads on their 556 compatible mounts, so the LPR is the logical choice.

Clint, do you know if your gas block will fit under a Wedgelock handguard?
