You won’t go wrong with either barrel but the BRT will be softer shooting.

Any accuracy results you’ve seen from me in this thread have been with the light profile barrel. It has posted under 3/4” 5 shot groups. Factory ammo. I’ll point out that this is an inadequate sample size, but I don’t have Molon’s skill to consistently shoot the smallest 10 shot groups that a rifle is capable of. I normally only shoot groups to zero a rifle, as I do not find benchrest shooting interesting. I have shot some 10 shot groups hovering around 1.5” and several 5 shot groups under an inch. I would be comfortable suggesting that a good shooter would be able to do this consistently with the light barrel.
I suspect the med contour barrels could do a little better.
As far as Noveske Afghan barrels go, mine have served me well also. They’ve been durable, reliable, and accurate, and are not as overgassed as the internet says. If I remember correctly, I measured one at around 0.078” to 0.081”. You can always choke it down with one of BRT’s gas tubes, which I have done. I can’t make the choice for you between one of these vs a BRT MPC 14.5”. I’d probably buy whichever was cheaper.

Awesome. Thank you for the data, guys.
Yes,
We'll be doing some more of the 14.0 MID, a "do it all " 12.5 with EXC (should do well with and without a mini can) and maybe a light(er) profile 11.5 CAR.
We've gotten a good amount of interest in the tapered shoulders and will likely expand the offerings with that option.
Also looking into 300BLK.

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
