    New 12.5 chrono data:
    Barnes 70gr TSX 5.56: 2675 fps(!)
    Creedmoor Sports 75gr HPBT 5.56: 2502 fps

The Barnes load is damn impressive. It clocked 2875 in my 16" Sionics. Wish I had bought more! Cant wait to try it on hogs and deer

    Some other numbers to compare:
In a BA Hanson 12.3”, I get about 2725fps with that 70tsx load at 70F, suppressed.
Eagle 19 on TOS with a BCM standard posted 2656fps with 70tsx, 2830fps XM193, 2864 Wolf Gold, 2581 IMI 77, 2391 with GD 75, all suppressed. Chrome lined barrels always seem a little slower, in my limited experience.
As a real wildcard, Rifleshooter got 2919 fps with 12” and 2974 fps with 13” with XM193. This was a bolt gun, so we can’t extrapolate much. I just thought it interesting.

    tl;dr
Your BRT seems to be in the normal velocity range for 12.5” barrels. These are, of course, different barrels, different days/conditions, and different ammo lots.

    Speer Gold Dot 75gr: 2272

I'm happy with the XM193, but it looks like I'll need to find a faster expanding load.

Also as another data point for those wondering if these barrels shoot faster...

    From my 12.5" Centurion:

    MK262: 2514, 2525 & 2539 FPS (three different 5 shot groups)
    IMI 77gr OTM: 2589 FPS

MQ105, you and I have arrived remarkably close in what a 11.5” suppressed gun should look like.

We'll see. The mixed use configurations work really really well. The dedicated configurations are awesome, but don't have the same flexibility.

Un-vex theyself. There remains but a single one...

    Clint,
Looking back at your website at the CL barrels, these seem to be marketed for mixed suppressed use. If I bought your 14.5” CL CHF (why is 14.7” so rare?!?) ..... how close in gas drive would that be to one of your port inserts in a similar (or same) 14.5” middy with A5H0, Colt spring, 50/50 suppressed, 7.62 can, brass .223 and 5.56?

In other words, if I intend to use the CL 14.5” barrel 50/50 with a can, should I also buy an EZtune or, just run it as is?

There's no need for an EZTUNE gas tube with our HFCL barrels in a 50/50 role.

They're setup to run like that with standard components.

FYI,. My chrono data is unsuppressed, 50-55 degrees F, 900 ft ASL

That TSX load is something else though. Smoking fast from these short barrels. Haven't had a chance to try it on game yet but I expect good results.

ETA: and yes, agreed, my velocity seems to be typical of other 12.5 barrels. I'm pretty happy with the overall package. Short enough to be handy with a can but enough velocity to reach out if needed.

Yes, its a little faster than the 70TSX brown tip load, same barrels, same day. IME.

    .

Thanks. I might make one of these my new non-NFA beater. Of course, with a mount pinned on it, I know I’ll be tempted to put a can on it sometimes.

Clint, will you be doing another run of 16” LPR barrels, whether chrome-lined or melonite, or any ss recce barrels in the same length?

Thanks to some government $$$$. , I just ordered one of your 11.5" CL CHF Optimum barrels and one of your BCG's. I can't believe BRT has any pre-order barrels or BCG left, as quality top tier components are getting harder to find.

    Thanks for your support.

We're working hard to keep things available, but the struggle is real.

We're down to a handful of 11.5" barrels left.

If you want one, now is the time.
